Important Notes

  • This tool checks against Google's official IP ranges published by Google.
  • IP ranges are baked into this page when the site is built, from official Google sources. Google updates these files roughly daily.
  • A match on general Google infrastructure (goog.json) is not proof of a crawler — only the crawler and fetcher ranges verify Googlebot.
  • For additional verification, you should also perform a reverse DNS lookup.
  • Googlebot IPs typically resolve to domains like googlebot.com, googleusercontent.com, or google.com.
  • Always verify that the reverse DNS matches the forward DNS for complete validation.
