Hi, I'm Svetoslav Petkov — also known as Svet. I'm a technical SEO consultant and AI search specialist with over ten years of experience, currently Head of Technical SEO at The Telegraph.

At The Telegraph, one of the UK's largest news publishers, I lead technical SEO: crawl efficiency, indexing, rendering, Core Web Vitals, and Google News visibility at the scale of millions of pages.

Alongside that, I founded Storyhawk.io, a tool that tracks Google News Top Stories so publishers can see who wins coverage and why. I built and run it end to end — product, code, and infrastructure.

I also build AI agents and automated workflows for marketing teams, and I'm certified in generative AI development (IBM), agentic AI systems (DataCamp), and AI-assisted coding (Anthropic). You can see my talks and projects on the homepage.

I've worked agency-side, in-house, and as a freelance consultant — which has given me a practical understanding of how SEO fits into very different business contexts.

I started my career in Bulgaria, working on e-commerce and financial sites, before moving into international and large-scale projects in the UK — spanning more than ten markets and three search engines.
